Ready to leave the MTC for Montana
So this week has been both good and sad, OH, and spiritual. So last week for our Tuesday Devotional we got the opportunity to hear from Brent. H. Nielson, from the seventy and his wife Sister Nielson, and i honestly can't remember what they talked on because it has been so long but i can say that both of them gave great talks.
So a week from today we got the opportunity to teach from our second TRC (training Resource center Investigator) And his name is Linus and honestly he doesn't really know if he believes in Christ or not, and he was a pretty hard guy to teach, and we taught him Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and all three meetings didn't go the way me or my Companion wanted, but what i learned is that people are not going to be super easy to teach, you may have people that you have been teaching for a while and there going to still be questioning if Christ is real or not. But that's okay, because if you go out to your mission and do the best you can, You succeeded.
So there are some sad things about some of these things, okay maybe two, But one of them is that a tradition in the residence halls that has been going on for about 5 weeks is the Can wall, you all may have seen pictures on last week well we sadly had to take that down, and that was super sad. And the other one is that this morning all the Tusan Arizona people left from our district. Elder, Soffe, Elder Christensen, Elder Young, and Sister Rodgers It's amazing how close you can grow closer to people in just 3 weeks, But i guess it is time to get out to our missions and teach the people of our missions.
Okay i got a funny story for all of you. HA HA. So it was on Saturday at about 11:30ish But so me and my companion were sitting in our Residence for about an hour, and than lunch time came, so me and my companion, shut our door and left for lunch. About 30 to 40 minutes later we were sitting at lunch, and than i got an Email, and it was from Elder Soffe, That said come open the door, so me and my companion got up, went to our Residence and Elder Soffe and Elder Christensen, were sitting down outside of our residence hall, with just their bath towels on, we literally left and shut the door and forgot that they went to take showers. So they were sitting outside our door for 15 mins, so i can say that, that was a funny time.
Okay, now i can finish with a spiritual though or lesson more likely. So one of our teachers Bro. Mcfarlane, taught us on the fall, and what it means to be fallen. And what he did is, he literally yelled at us in a passionate voice until we understood, and what he said multiple times is, we are incapable we are incapable and we are incapable. And that really stood out to me because We are incapable, We can't do this. But with Heavenly Father, we can, So i encourage you all to think about what it means to be fallen. Think about how you are incapable, but if you keep your faith in Jesus Christ and trust on him to carry you through, he will push you through.
I love this gospel with everything, and i'm so happy i get this opportunity to serve the Lord.
So the next email you guys get from me. I will be in Montana and i'm so greatful that i get this opportunity.
