May 29, 2019 - Letter to Mom

Mom, I honestly can't believe I have been on my mission for 9 months. I am so glad I made this decision to serve a mission.  But this is really going to be my testimony in a letter.  Before my mission I honestly had no idea why I had to serve, but I knew I had to in my heart, and now I know that part, it was so I could find where my own testimony is.  Serving this mission for the past 9 months of my life has been the greatest 9 months of my life so far. When I teach the very first lesson, one point I love teaching is how the gospel blesses families, because without the family I have today I wouldn't be out here sharing my love for God and our Savior, because you have really helped me have that desire to serve, so I want to thank you for raising me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do have a testimony of this Gospel and I can't tell you how much I love this Gospel.  I have seen people change for the better.  As a missionary I feel like I...

Week 41 "A lot of street and store contacting!"

This week wasn't to bad but could have been better. This week was pretty good, we just had a lot of store contacting but didn't find like anyone from it. One day we gave a pass along card to someone in distress so we are just hoping that she calls us. On Sunday we had two people come to Sacrament meeting which was really good.  But I am sorry but that was our week.  Elder Mosher and Elder Hamblin

Week 40 "Transfers, and 9 months out!"

Hey, so this week I hit my 9 month mark which is crazy, I feel like I just left so that is crazy. Monday night we got transfer calls and Elder Steelman got transfered to Helena MT and I am staying her in Gillette. My New Companion is Elder Hamblin who has been out 16 and a half months and he is from Farmington, New Mexico and he is awesome. So I was with Elder Greenwood for a couple days.  We didn't really find any new people this week and sadly and no one came to church, but my new companion is awesome.  Well that was our week so not too bad.

Week 39 "May 13, 2019"

This week had its ups and its downs. On Wednesday we had interviews with our Mission President which was good.   And on Wednesday night there was this one guy that opened the door when we were tracting and he looked at us and asked "what group"  so we told him and then he asked how many kingdoms there are and so we told him that and then asked what was in the second kingdom so we told him and he just looked at us for a second and the said "Not quite". So that was fun Jumping to Saturday we had three new people.  Sunday, one came to church and that was my week.

Week38 "We more than quadrupled our teaching pool over the last two weeks!"

Hello again everyone, This week was really good.  From Monday to Wednesday we went on exchanges with the Moorcroft Elders and I was in Moorcroft with Elder Glover, he is from some small town in Utah by St George somewhere but that was really fun.  Thursday was Zone Conference and we had to drive to Billings for that which is three hours away but it was really fun and I learned a lot,, but that went all day so that was Thursday.  On Friday we tracted some apartments and there were at least two people that said we could come back which was really awesome.  On Saturday we tracted more apartments and this married couple said they were looking for a church which was awesome and they they will try out our church .  Then we continued tracting and one lady told us that we aren't aloud in the building because there are no soliciting signs, I told her that we are not solicitors because we aren't trying to sell them stuff, but she said we are. We co...
