May 29, 2019 - Letter to Mom

Mom,

I honestly can't believe I have been on my mission for 9 months. I am so glad I made this decision to serve a mission.  But this is really going to be my testimony in a letter.  Before my mission I honestly had no idea why I had to serve, but I knew I had to in my heart, and now I know that part, it was so I could find where my own testimony is.  Serving this mission for the past 9 months of my life has been the greatest 9 months of my life so far.

When I teach the very first lesson, one point I love teaching is how the gospel blesses families, because without the family I have today I wouldn't be out here sharing my love for God and our Savior, because you have really helped me have that desire to serve, so I want to thank you for raising me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I do have a testimony of this Gospel and I can't tell you how much I love this Gospel.  I have seen people change for the better.  As a missionary I feel like I am a seed planter, because I haven't had a baptism yet, but that's okay because baptisms aren't what makes you a successful missionary.  It is how hard you work.

I want to leave this with you, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
