Sorry this email was super late but I could not go through out the Week stressing because I didn't send an email so I will send it now.
From Tuesday to Wednesday we went on exchanges with the 3rd ward Elders who are the Zone Leaders. I stayed here in the 1st Ward and I went with Elder Gillen who has been out 17 Months and is from Colorado and he is awesome. We just did a lot of finding. One thing we wish before we started talking to this one guy is to be prepared, because we were talking to this guy that is Baptist and we wanted to share this video about Jesus Christ with him and neither one of us had it on our phones and Elder Gillen went looking for it because he had it in recent messages but the guy was just like, I got to get my kid inside. So that sadly fell through our fingers. We had some solid contacts on that exchange.
Wednesday afternoon we exchanged back and in the next couple days Elder Hamblin and I just walked around contacting a lot but no one was really interested.
From Friday night to Saturday night we went on exchanges with the 4th ward Elders and I stayed here in 1st ward again and I was with Elder Greenwood who came out with me so has been out 11 months and he is from Texas. He is so good at talking to people, it is really awesome. We showed this one person a video which was awesome and we got a really good service opportunity with her and where she helps out, she also has this awesome Hakuna Matata sign which there will be a picture at the bottom, but the dinner we had Saturday night, she had her non member son there and he really likes basketball and we do basketball nights every Saturday so we invited him and he was so excited and we went to basketball and he was there so that was fun to play with him and get to know him better.
Yesterday (Sunday). We had two people at church which was awesome and right after Sacrament meeting my companion had a baptismal interview for the 2nd ward sisters and at 3 was the Baptism which was awesome. It was really awesome to see how excited that 10 year old boy was to be Baptized.
So A scripture that stuck out to me was Roman's 10:14-17
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
I really like that scripture because as I have seen on My mission, it is really about Faith because if you have faith to find and to be able to Preach the Gospel you will be able to do it.
Well that was my week.
Golf ball sized hail
Hakuna Matata
